Chepstow based Mount Pleasant Practice has been commended for prioritising supporting unpaid carers training for its entire staff team.  In spite of Covid and increased service pressures the entire team at the surgery have accessed or attended supporting unpaid carers training and have become the first Monmouthshire based GP practice to achieve Carer Friendly Accreditation. The surgery has also been busy updating their website to include information and support for unpaid carers, highlighting who their Carers Champions and Senior Carers Leads are and has also included links to other services that can provide unpaid carer support. It is great to see a GP practice taking a whole team approach and being so proactive in increasing access to information for both its staff team and its patients.
